Where I've Worked

May 2025 — Aug 2025
Research Intern — Emotion Detection
National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli
  • Developed a real-time facial emotion recognition system using YOLOv11 and fine-tuned VGG16/VGG19, achieving 98% accuracy across 7 custom Indian emotion classes.
  • Built end-to-end ML pipelines including data preprocessing, augmentation, and real-time inference using OpenCV, optimizing for low-latency performance and benchmarking against ResNet-50.
June 2025
Industry 4.0 Intern — Innovation Consulting
National University of Singapore (NUS)
  • Conducted 15+ stakeholder interviews under the NUS SCALE Industry 4.0 Program, applying Industry 4.0 workflows to design and pitch a vertical-farming proof-of-concept.
  • Focused on supply-chain sustainability and localized food production solutions.

Life on the Court

CIT Basketball Team
Basketball Trophy
Team Captain
CIT Basketball Team · 2.5+ Years

What started as a casual hobby during my first semester quickly became the most defining commitment of my college life. For 2.5 years, basketball has been a constant — through exam seasons, hackathon weekends, and everything in between. Early morning drills, late evening scrimmages, and the unspoken rule that you never skip practice.

This team became my second family. We've celebrated together after clutch wins and picked each other up after tough losses. As captain, I learned that leadership isn't just about calling plays — it's about showing up first, leaving last, and earning trust through consistency, not words.

"The court taught me what no textbook could — that discipline isn't a one-day decision, it's a daily habit. That pressure doesn't break you, it reveals who you are."

The endurance, quick decision-making, and composure under pressure that I built on the court directly carry over into how I approach engineering — whether it's debugging at 2 AM or leading a team through a 36-hour hackathon.
